Loners and Rogues generally follow the clan-naming formula; however, rather than use a prefix and a suffix to construct a name, their names consist of one word. To name a loner or rogue character, you can use a prefix or a suffix from the Clan Names page. See this page for names you cannot use.
Rogues and Loners are not as limited in names as a Clan cat, since their names don't have to rely on how well a prefix and suffix can go together. However, their names must be realistic nonetheless.
- A name for a rogue or a loner must be environment based, after an animal (Snake, Ice, Hoot, etc), plant or plant material (Juniper, Sage, Leaf, etc), color of fur (Coal, Soot, Night, etc), or territory (Rock, Thorn, etc.)
- Loners that are former kittypets can have a kittypet-like name.
- Rogues and loners that were once members of a clan, can have a prefix-suffix name like clan cats have. Otherwise, they would have a one word name.
- If a loner or rogue is invited to join a clan, they must take on a clan name and leave their old name behind.
Kittypets and Former Kittypets:
Characters that are, or were, kittypets, can have names that would be given to a pet cat that a Twoleg person would own.
The names list, on Catster.com, has names that real Twolegs give their kittypets.
Kittypets can also have loner/rogue type names as well.
- If a kittypet is invited to join a clan, they must take on a clan name and leave their old name behind.
